A beautiful tour can become a punishing transfer if it begins from the wrong island. Tobago Cays trips are easiest from the southern Grenadines, Bequia tours should begin on Bequia, and Saint Vincent’s volcano and waterfalls deserve their own land days.

The essential Grenadines boat day: green-turtle snorkeling, one or two sandy cays and reef-ringed water inside Tobago Cays Marine Park. Choose a licensed operator that uses proper moorings, includes park fees clearly and never crowds turtles.
Best private experience · Flexible route
A private sailing boat can shape the day around wind, comfort and uncrowded anchorages. Ask how much time is spent under sail, how many stops are realistic and whether lunch is aboard or ashore.
Best culture day · Easy logistics
Combine the harbor, Fort Hamilton, boatbuilding and island history with the Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary and time at Princess Margaret or Lower Bay. An open-back island taxi keeps the tour relaxed and easy to customize.
Best adventure · Serious hike
The country’s defining land adventure climbs an active volcano through changing forest and exposed high ground. Go only with current access guidance and an experienced local guide; rain, trail damage, gas monitoring and volcanic status can alter the route.
Best nature drive · Waterfalls
A driver-guide can connect Dark View Falls with fishing villages, forested coastline, scenic overlooks and another stop selected for current road and trail conditions. It is the strongest introduction to Saint Vincent beyond the airport corridor.
Best refined island day · Beaches
Use the scheduled ferry when it fits or arrange a private boat, then prebook an island taxi for Britannia Bay, Macaroni Beach and lunch. Confirm current visitor procedures, ferry timing and restaurant access before leaving.
Best underwater day · Certified divers
Bequia has the most established dive logistics, while the southern Grenadines add turtle-rich reefs, drifts and walls. Choose the operator before the site; current, sea state and recent reef conditions should determine the final plan.
Best special occasion · Luxury
Palm Island and Petit St. Vincent require an approved restaurant reservation, resort transfer or authorized excursion. Arrange landing permission and return transport in advance.
